More Details About Tegalalang Rice Paddies
The next wonderful nature site we are going to visit is the Tegalalang rice field. It is one of the famous rice paddies in Bali.
This site emphasizes the traditional water irrigation system for farming purposes. It has a stairs or terraces landscape structure. This terrace's shape looks very beautiful for pictures from the other side.
As we know, Bali is a small island with mountain areas in the middle. Hence, it is tough to do rice farming in this landscape. For this reason, our ancestors need to make some adjustments to the land itself.
Maintaining water irrigation for the rice field is so important. In the mountain area, we create terraces shaped into different levels. The reason is to avoid destroying nature if we flatten whole hill areas. Instead, we flattened a small part of the land on tiered levels. As a result, we create the terrace’s shape.
This is perfect for an irrigation system because we only need to set up water flow from the top to the bottom. Due to its unique and beautiful looks, many tourists enjoy the astonishing views. They also love to take pictures with this background.
Another activity here is jungle swings, which have become popular lately. It becomes a must-visit site in Bali.

More Details About Luwak Coffee Plantation and Farm
After a few site visits, it will be good to have a coffee break. Our favorite place to take a break is at the Luwak Coffee Plantation. While at it, we will introduce you to the plantation and the herbal products from the local farm.
The most popular spice product is Luwak coffee. Most people are wondering why its name is Luwak Coffee. Luwak is the local name of a nocturnal animal that is active during nighttime. In other countries, it is more popular as Civet.
This animal is a wild mouse species, but its size is comparable to a cat. Its natural habitat is in the forest, especially around the mountain. Balinese coffee bean is their favorite food.
There is a unique thing about this animal. They have a high standard for choosing the quality of coffee beans. They will only eat the high-grade quality beans and leave the lower-quality ones.
When the bean is inside the Luwak’s stomach, the coffee bean goes through the digestion process. The digestion process by the Luwak’s stomach acid lowers the caffeine level. It also strengthens the aroma and the taste of the coffee. To summarize, Luwak Coffee has a lower caffeine level but has a stronger smell and taste.
Luwak coffee beans are rare. The long process and rarity are the reasons it has become expensive. Today, this coffee is the most expensive in the world.
Other Herbal Products
There are also other varieties of coffee and tea available. The coffee variants available are Coconut Coffee, Arabica Coffee, and Robusta Coffee. As for the tea variants, we can try Ginger tea, Lemongrass tea, and Mangosteen tea.

It is one of the unique temples in Bali with a natural holy spring. Furthermore, legend mentions that God Indra made this holy spring for the people. We can see his statue in front of the Temple entrance.
Due to its unique legend, plenty of people come to this Temple. They also come to do the ritual here.
Interested in joining the ritual? Yes, you can. We need to prepare and check for a few things before that.
There are some rules for visiting Temples. Women during their menstruation period should not enter the Temple. We need to bring an offering for the ritual. We can buy this offering at the car parking area.
Furthermore, we need to wear a "Sarong" to enter the Temple. If you do not have a sarong, the management will lend you one to enter the Temple. For the ritual use, you need to rent another sarong in the Temple.
Please bring a towel and extra clothing for this ritual. It is because you will enter the pool, hence you will get wet afterward.
