More Details About Tegalalang Rice Paddies
After we have had enough art entertainment, we will continue to the next destination. The first wonderful nature site we are going to visit is the Tegalalang rice field. It is one of the famous rice paddies in Bali.
This site emphasizes the traditional water irrigation system for farming purposes. It has a stairs or terraces shape landscape structure. This shape makes it look so beautiful for pictures from across side.
As we know, Bali is a small island with mountain areas in the middle. So, it is difficult to do rice farming in this landscape. For this reason, our ancestors need to make some adjustments to the land itself.
Maintaining water irrigation in the mountain area is a must. So we create terraces shaped into different levels. The reason is that we do not want to destroy nature by flattening all the areas. Instead, we flattened a small part of the land on every level.
After multiple levels, we got a terrace-shaped rice farm as a result. This is perfect for an irrigation system because we only need to set up water flow from the top to the bottom. Due to its unique and beautiful looks, many tourists enjoy the astonishing views. They also love to take pictures with this background.
Another activity here is jungle swings, which have become popular lately. It becomes must must-visit site in Bali.

More Details About Kintamani Batur UNESCO Geopark
Kintamani is the main tourist destination of the Mount Batur Tour. It has a wonderful view of Mount Batur Volcano and Lake from the Penelokan area. Batur Volcano Mountain has a wide area of black frozen lava rocks from its previous eruption.
The last eruption happened in 2000, but only on a very small scale. And the biggest eruption happened from August 2nd until September 21st, 1926. As a result, the melting lava was dripping down from the top to the bottom part of the mountain. At the end, the lava covers some of the bottom area and freezes. A caldera is the name for an area covered by frozen lava. In 2011, UNESCO chose Batur Caldera as one of the National Geoparks.
Other than lava, the eruption also spreads volcanic ash to surrounding areas. Lava turns into solid rocks and makes farming difficult. On the contrary, volcanic ash brings great benefits. The volcanic ashes provide great nutrition to the soil. As a result, you will see big contrasting areas of black caldera next to green natural vegetation.
Another benefit of a volcano is a hot spring source. Alongside the lake, there are 2 public hot spring pools you may try. Due to its wonderful scenery, it is a good place to have lunch while enjoying the view. Local restaurants serve lunch with views of Mount Batur Volcano and Lake.

More Details About Luwak Coffee Plantation and Farm
After a few site visits, it will be good to have a coffee break. Our favorite place to take a break is at "Luwak Coffee Plantation". While at it, we will introduce you to the local plantation at the farm and the spice products.
The most popular spice product is "Luwak" coffee. Most of the people are wondering why its name is Luwak Coffee. Luwak is a nocturnal animal that is active in the nighttime. In other countries, its other name is Civet.
This animal is a wild mouse species, but its size is more like a cat. They live in the forest, especially around the mountain area. Balinese coffee bean is their favorite food.
There is a unique thing about this animal. They have a high standard for choosing the quality of coffee beans. They will only eat the high-grade quality beans and leave the lower quality ones.
When the bean is inside the Luwak’s stomach, the coffee bean goes through the digestion process. The digestion process by the Luwak’s stomach acid lowers the caffeine level. And it is increasing the aroma and the taste of the coffee.
So at the end, the Luwak Coffee has a lower caffeine level but has a stronger smell and taste. It is also difficult to find beans swallowed by the Luwak. Those reasons have made this coffee the most expensive coffee in the world.
Other Spice Products
Other than Luwak coffee, there are also other varieties of coffee and tea available. The coffee variants available are Coconut Coffee, Arabica Coffee, and Robusta Coffee. As for the tea variants, we can try Ginger tea, Lemongrass tea, and Mangosteen tea.

It provides a stunning sight from the top of the viewpoint. As a result, it gives us a wonderful background picture of beautiful waterfalls.
For those who like to be more active, you may walk closer to the base of the waterfall. The access provided to the bottom is around 170 stairs with a few stops for a viewpoint as well. More viewpoint means more pictures of your visit. As a result, you will have more memory of your trip.
