They imitate the noise of thousand monkeys due in the story of Ramayana stated about the army of monkeys. No music tools needed in the dance and the group of that man arrange that noise into musical voice which become its own uniqueness. To end the trip, we will heading to Jimbaran beach that famous for the local sailorman village. They were well known in serving fresh seafood menu as dinner and it will be more romantic with candle light dinner table setup on the beach sand.

The performance is about the war between Good spirit of Barong against evil spirit of Rangda that in our believe has never ends, we believe in our life the good and the bad always come together and we call it “Rwa Bhineda”, more or less the same like Yin and Yang believe in Buddhist. The interesting act of the dance is on the last scene when the dancer stubbing or suicide themselves by Keris, our traditional sword with curvy shape, and they will not get hurt at all even though they commit suicide for real due the good spirit of Barong is appeared during the performance that protecting the dancer from get any injuries. Finished one hour performance of Barong and Keris Dance, we will visit the art villages where you can find the local people crafting some types of traditional art due the Ubud area originally famous for its arts but it cannot be found in the Ubud area. There are a few villages surrounding Ubud center that producing the handmade traditional arts and inside the Ubud art market you only can found low qualities or machine products of arts. To show you the authenticity of our traditional arts, I will take you each workshop that will be started with Batik production. Batik basically making design or pattern on the fabric, normal one using cotton material but the high quality one usually made of silk. They local Batik artist of Tohpati Village made their product using handmade painting Batik and stamped Batik technique which both are using waxing process for the design. Due to it authentic and traditional technique, UNESCO choose Indonesian Batik as “Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity”. Next, Celuk Village is for the Silver and Gold jewelry workshop. Local Silver and Goldsmith from the village allowed us to see their daily work and it is a good chance to know how the jewelry you used were made. After that Balinese traditional painting gallery is very good to visit. Our traditional style of painting mostly chose background of Balinese lifestyle in the past, Ramayana or Mahabharata legend, or local tail, and Balinese traditional Dance. For more modern painting, they chose rice terrace view which is our iconic rice farming system, volcanic mountain, waterfalls, and even some of abstract style. The last art making process we can visit is the wood carving. You might found the wood carving product in our traditional building architecture style, temple, and also as some statue. You will found that our carving style is very detail and complicated but all of them have their own concept. After finish with the art session, there are some special and historic temples we can visit such as Gunung Kawi which famous for the carved statue on the mountain side, Goa Gajah with its old cave for praying inside, and Tirta Empul that special for Melukat ritual. Blending with the nature, we can visit Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in the Ubud center area. The monkey forest situated exactly in the middle surrounded by local people houses, markets, and other modern things but inside the jungle it is perfectly maintained natural so the monkeys were live peacefully inside. 5 minute drive from the forest, we can visit Ubud Royal Family Palace to see our traditional style architecture and there is Ubud traditional market in front of it where you can see the local people daily interaction. From the Ubud center we are climbing up the mountain side to visit Tegallalang Rice Terrace with amazing rice farming system that put in several different level of rice farm. Nice picture will be taken all over this place. Around the farming area also plenty of Luwak Coffee Plantation for having coffee break in the middle of the journey. Not only as coffee break time, stop here also for introduction of our local spices plantation and you have a chance to taste each of the spice product including famous Luwak Coffee. On the mountain top at Penelokan, Kintamani, the view of Batur Volcanic Mountain is the wonderful things that should not to be missed. Black area under the Batur Mountain is lava rock caldera. That site is full of frozen lava from the eruption of Batur Mountain that became a solid lava rock colored in black. It is combined with Batur Mountain and Lake alongside it that makes it really beautiful.
